Cucumber Salad

Snack time

A friend gave me some cucumbers the other day from her garden and they were soooo good!  I sliced one for the girls at snack time, with salt and ranch dressing, and the other I made into cucumber salad.  If you don't have a recipe already, here is one of my favorites.  It's delicious...

Cold Cucumber Salad

Ingredients

2 cucumbers

1 teaspoon kosher salt

1 teaspoon white vinegar

1/2 cup mayonnaise

1/4 cup sour cream

1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill

Freshly ground black pepper

Directions

Peel and slice the cucumbers and put them in a glass bowl.

Sprinkle them with salt and vinegar. Cover and let stand for 30 minutes.

Pour off the excess liquid and drain in colander for about 30 minutes

to allow complete drainage. Add the mayonnaise, sour cream,

dill and pepper, and mix well. Cover and refrigerate until serving time.

Jump

It rained today and we needed it.  It has been very dry and hot here.  High 80's and 90's.  Monday was 96!  Steaming......
There wasn't any thunder and lightening, so when the rain came, we went out in it.

and jumped!

Last week I had a cutie-pie at my house.

Jacob's little twin brother ?

Bryce.
Cutie Pie.
We had fun just hangin out.
Isabel thought he was her baby.
But he's his own little man.
Cute as can be.

It was the first cake she made ALL. BY. HERSELF.

She did everything.

and this was her assistant.

Yum-o!

We didn't frost it. 

Grace isn't a huge sweet fan so she

ususally opts out of frosting.

Weekend fun
