Last Days of School - Grace

The last days of school for Grace are always very busy.  I don't feel like I documented it very well this year.  I only have a few pictures.

She won a blue ribbon at Arts in the Afternoon (she was so proud) 

and then they performed a Jazz musical.

They had fun day at the park and then went bowling

She was recognized at the athletic awards for her participation in soccer

Grace earned the Presidential Physical Fitness Award.

  We then spent the afternoon at the park with classmates and ended the day with a sleepover with a friend.  

Grace had a great year and finished strong and we are so proud of her!

Last Days of School - Isabel

Isabel's Kindergarten year ended with a celebration performance and field day. (Isabel is in the front, center right.)  The performance was set to The Sound of Music and was done so sweetly.  Not many a dry eye in the audience.

We were blessed with great weather for field day (not too hot, not too cold)

and Isabel got to participate in lots of events.

Isabel had a great time and a great year in Kindergarten!

She got out of school on Wednesday so summer has officially started for her.

Isabel got to meet lots of new friends this year

and has lots of playdates for the summer.

We are so proud of you Isabel!!!

Almost

Summer is almost here.

A Trip To The Zoo

Isabel's class took a field trip last week to the Zoo.  Along with other animals, they spent time with the elephants in the new elephant exhibit, the giraffes, and gorillas.  Isabel got to ride on a "school bus" for the first time and was thrilled.  She had a great day!

Field Day for Grace

Last week Grace had Field Day and it's always a favorite event of the year.  This year she qualified for the 6th Grade Relay and they won 1st place!  Go Bobcats!

It's an all day event that takes place at the High School

 and they get to compete against other schools in the region. 

Grace brought home three blue ribbons.

Thankful

Happy Mother's Day

The Bee's

We have some neighbors up the street who want bees, and,

 well, we just happened to have a swarm of them in our tree,

 so last weekend we all watched as they tried to capture the hive and the queen.

While we watched, Grace and Isabel held our "new" neighbors' dog,  

which is a Pug and sweet as can be.  

It would let you hold it like a baby and Grace was in heaven.

Another neighbor was digging a very deep hole to fill with concrete 

that will hold a basketball hoop.  

Here are all the girls right before they poured the concrete.

It was a beautiful weekend to spend outside.  Our house was full of neighborhood kids

all weekend, laughing and giggling.  We got to meet our new neighbors and spent some time 

with them, as well as the rest of our neighbors.
