The Beach

The next thing we did was the beach.

Pure Joy.  The water was a little chilly, but still fun to be there.  Mike and Grace did some boogie boarding and if we were there another day I think we would have buried Mike in the sand.  We collected seashells, played in the water and the sand, ran from the waves and enjoyed the sunshine.  We watched in amazement the surfers, boats on the horizon and how the sand glistened like it was dusted with gold.

The Pier

The first thing we did when we got to sunny California was go out on the pier.
Being around the water was heaven.

We saw the Marines training on the pier, a photo shoot, people fishing, pelicans.  We could see a lot of surfers, and one day we heard it rumored that you could see wales out there, although we didn't see them that day. 
The views were amazing.

Spring things

And they shared like angels and everyone was in harmony.  Not.

But still cool.

We stayed at hotels that had pools.

Lots of time spent in the pool.

Which is also very cool on vacation.

and sometimes i smell her hair and try to

tell myself to remember that smell always.
