I can't believe it is already the end of July.
Where has the summer gone?
It feels like it is slipping through my hands
when all I want to do is hold it tightly.

The girl's gotta have her boots...

Isabel loves her cowgirl boots.
She wears them a lot.
They use to be Gracie's and are still a couple sizes too big,
but that doesn't bother her.

She plays in them and wears them out
doesn't matter to her
just gotta have me some boots.

Bowling

Gracie's strike in photos:

and celebration:

Isabel played a game, but after that, was not interested.
Gracie played the extra games and finally got a strike.
It just wasn't coming easy that day.
So when she did get it, it was worth celebrating.

Cave of the Winds

We took a trip to Cave of the Winds last week with some friends.

This is the view when you get up there

They had this cool climbing structure where you could get hooked up to a cable and walk
around on beams, nets and ropes.

She's in the middle on the rope

We then went through the caves on a 45 minute tour.
We saw lots of interesting rocks and things,
and went through dark and narrow passages.

And then back out into the light!
Whew!  I got a little claustrophobic in there.
They had a beautiful balcony that overlooked the valley below.

Stunning beauty up there.

Neat trip.
I have heard about Cave of the Winds all my life
and now I can say we finally went.

Gracie's tree

Isabel calls this "Gracie's tree."
Probably because I wont let her climb it until she is 5.
It's too high.
I have one for Isabel to climb in the front that is lower to the ground.

and Scooby waits paitently at the bottom

Good-boy Scooby.
