Cave of the Winds

We took a trip to Cave of the Winds last week with some friends.

This is the view when you get up there

They had this cool climbing structure where you could get hooked up to a cable and walk

around on beams, nets and ropes.

We then went through the caves on a 45 minute tour.

We saw lots of interesting rocks and things,

and went through dark and narrow passages.

And then back out into the light!

Whew!  I got a little claustrophobic in there.

They had a beautiful balcony that overlooked the valley below.

Stunning beauty up there.

Neat trip.

I have heard about Cave of the Winds all my life

and now I can say we finally went.

Gracie's tree

Isabel calls this "Gracie's tree."
Probably because I wont let her climb it until she is 5.
It's too high.
I have one for Isabel to climb in the front that is lower to the ground.

Grandma's Birthday and Soccer

Saturday was our last soccer games for the season.

Isabel was waiting patiently for her trophy

It was a good season and Gracie had a record number of goals.

She plays with all her heart.

We are really proud of her and all the kiddos

that played.

I really enjoyed watching their team.

What a great group of kids.

Then we were off to Grandma's birthday bash

(along with Scooby)

Uncle Monte made a cool cornhole game.

You toss your beanbags and try to get them in the hole.

He made the boards and painted them

and even made the bean bags and filled them with corn.

It was awesome.

The girl cousins

was refurbished for her by Caleb.

Grandma got a ipad for her birthday. 

All the kids pitched in.

Now Grandma is all hip and cool

and computer techno current.

Where is a picture of Grandma, you say?

Umm. Well, I kinda didn't get one.

Ooops.

I know, i know.

I am not so good at taking photos

at events.

Sorry Grandma.

I kept thinking the whole time, "I need to get a photo of Grandma with the girls." 

It's the thought that counts, right??

braids, swimming & volleyball

The girls got braids. 

They felt special. 

Terry did them. 

I think Terry did my hair for the first time 22 years ago! 

We love her.

Swim season started for us,

which means hanging out at the neighborhood pool

as much as possible.

Grace finished a volleyball camp today.

She is the one on the left in the green.

You can barely see her there.

They got to practice with these HUGE volleyballs!

So much fun!

And this was my sidekick.

She was so patient and fun to hang out with.

She would cheer for Gracie and the other girls.

On the last day she got to go to Grandma's all by herself for a break.  Yay!

Grace and I would practice in the backyard before camp.

I like how my camera captured the volleyball in these pictures.

And this is Isabel after our busy week.
