a performance

We have been wrapping up the last few weeks of Gracie's school.  (Yay, its almost over!)
Arts in the Afternoon was Sunday, and is where each class displays their art to be judged and awarded, that they have been working on all year.  They give a few musical performances, and the band plays also.

This year was the musical "Bugz."  It was wonderful and the best one yet!

This was before everything started.

Grace had a solo part in the performance and I

could tell the butterflies were starting to churn.

She did so well!

It was a long solo and she nailed it! 

She sang it with such beauty and grace  

and we couldn't have been prouder!

She also got a blue ribbon for her self portrait.

What a day!

And a good way to finish the year.

All done!

We stopped at a frozen yogurt shop in Cherry Creek North. 

The shop front was an open wall to the outside and we

sat at the bar that looked out onto the sidewalk.

It was perfect weather that day and

we enjoyed every minute

and time seemed to stand still for a moment.

Field Day

Gracie had field day on Friday.
All the Lutheran elementary schools get together and compete on that day.
Grace earned a spot on the grade relay again this year.  She is super speedy and runs with all her heart.  We were calling her "Secretariat".
She was also in the dash and ball throw.

There were some photo finishes on that day.

It was competative and fun and we couldn't have asked for

better weather.

Way to go Grace!

It is so fun to watch you run!

Soccer

It's soccer season around here.
Last Saturday we had our first games.
Both girls are playing this year.
It's fun to watch!

Grace is playing on a team with some of her classmates again.

They have a great team and won their first game.

Isabel is playing this year for the first time.

Two of our neighbor kids are on the team also.

It's so cute to watch the little ones. 

And Mike is coaching both teams.

He is superDad!

Field Trip

Gracie got to go to the Royal Gorge with her classmates last week.
It turned out to be a beautiful day.
