The Christmas Story

My kids loved this! 
And so did I.

Christmas

For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given

and the government will be on his shoulders.

And he will be called WONDERFUL COUNSELOR, MIGHTY GOD,

EVERLASTING FATHER, PRINCE OF PEACE.

Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end.

He will reign on David's throne and over his kingdom,

establishing and upholding it with JUSTICE and RIGHTEOUSNESS

from that time on and FOREVER.  (Isaiah 9:6-7)

The Ice

Grace and I took a walk around the lake and we came upon some ice.  So we found a big stick and began to play with the ice.

An Angelic Voice

An angelic voice while seated on the throne.

While taking her time she made up a song, "Goodby Mommy and Daddy.  I am staying here."
(Maybe beause she stayed at Grandma's last weekend?)

Oh, and turn your head to the right.  I couldn't figure out how to straighten the video.

She is a hoot!

The Nutcracker

On Saturday, Gracie and I went to go see The Nutcracker downtown at the Opera House. 
It was the first time for both of us.

We both dressed up

and wore matching yellow flower pins.

We had great seats

which were generously given by a friend.

It was so beautiful!

The stage, the costumes, the story!

It was so gentle and sweet

and full of talent.

Gracie sat on the edge of her seat.

Since Isabel was too young to come with us

or enjoy it, we stopped on the way

home and got her pj's with

ballerinas on them.

Then we took the girls to Grandma and Grandpa's house

and I took Mike out for his birthday dinner.

(I'm only a month late)

We had steak!  His favorite.

Christmas Play and a Visit

Gracie's Christmas play was Tuesday night and Grandpa came out, and so did Aunt Christi, Sierra and Caleb.

We made gingerbread houses

Caleb helped Isabel or Isabel helped him - not sure

The finished products. 

They were all great!

After the program, we had hot chocolate with marshmellows and candycanes,

and lounged and played with Ipods.

Uncle Monte came by too.

The next morning

all the girls,

all with Pooh blankets.
